Hi Briant, require another good mind to discuss Contract Billings. I'll keep it as brief as possible, and if you could drop me an email so we can discuss the details offline or alternatively carry the thread on here.....please post or email. If you feel you know this area that would be cool. I am continuing to develop a DM that so far links Billing info (F4211, F03012, F0101, F0005) to the GL trans (F0911). For standard Sales orders the linking criteria is Document No (Invoice No) and Line Item.. This works fine, for standard sales orders. Am now addressing how the JDE consultants have implemented Contract Billing and Amortization (via the Contract Header F1720, Contract Detail F1721, The work File F4822, and the amortization file F1794) also linking to F0006, and F03012, for the Billing side/amortization. However, as deferred revenue gets amortized, ie NON RI Doctypes, it is posted into the GL as Journal Entries, and the document nos, are auto generated... I have a very good idea as to how I can link this info, but would appreciate an impartial expert, (outside of the consultancy team that my client has engaged with) to discuss further. If you are knowledgeable in this area, I would love to discuss this further with you....Let me know if this is within your knowledge base..... Thanks

That's a really good idea to use the F00165 and F9865 tables, Jo. I haven't dug into the forms much, but I totally understand where you're going. I've had some luck converting the Blob data for capturing note and memo information, but you do have to filter out all the xml formatting for fonts, bold, italics, etc. It's a bit tricky to do in SQL, but it can work. Definitely .net is the easier way to go if you're already working in that environment.

Bryant,
Your starter tables for the DD have been invaluable. Have been doing some further digging, and there is another table F00165, that includes both Field Alias, and a Blob field, that holds the true narrative behind what the field represents (ie using the thin client, click on the ? click on the field on the form, and you see the pop up window, describing in paragraph terms) what the field holds....To decipher the Blob, you can't use implicit SQL conversion, I ended up using ADO.net, and hey presto...a complete DD..... Am now looking at deciphering which fields are used in which JDE forms, F9865 holds the form ids and the Form Names....and F9202 & f9203 holds the form text descriptions, as seen on the forms...Am now trying to find the child table that holds fields that are present on each JDE form.... I know this makes sense to you....:) ...
